Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 first of string of new Peugeot hybrids

Peugeot will launch the new 3008 HYbrid4 crossover in autumn 2011 as the world's first diesel-electric hybrid car - and it's the first in a string of hybrid cars coming from Peugeot and Citroen. The 3008 HYbrid4 will be followed by a brace of 508 hybrids in spring 2011, and engineers have told CAR that any car on the mid-sized PF2 and full-sized PF3 platforms can use the same innovative electric 4wd architecture.  Although pricey at £26,995, Peugeot expects to sell 10,000 of the 3008 HYbrid4 in its first full year and the parent group PSA Peugeot Citroen is targeting 100,000 annual sales of hybrids as soon as 2015. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI launches in Japan Subaru has announced a limited run of 400  Subaru Impreza WRX STI 205 which will go on sale in Japan. It won’t please Subaru Impreza nuts in the UK as they’ll get no chance to get their hands on one, but for those in Japan it’s great news. Unlike the rather lame Subaru WRX STI Carbon (or Impreza Pipe & Slippers as we like to think of it), the R205 is hard-core. Subaru has plucked a chunk of bits from the ‘Spec C’ bin to create the R205.

Jeep introduces 2014 Wrangler Polar Edition for winter

The 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition first made its debut at the Frankfurt motor show this past September, showing off its new front grille, gloss black alloy wheels and polar white interior finishes. The winter Wrangler will arrive in showrooms this November, just in time for the snowy season. The Polar Edition takes inspiration from the great outdoors, incorporating Jeep's 4x4 capability as well as new design cues taken from the severe climate and extreme conditions that characterize the Antarctic region.
